Learn about who we are and what we love to do!

Joe Wendt - Owner

As owner of Inner Join Technologies, Joe brings over 12 years of application development, data integration, CRM, consumer profiling, and business intelligence experience to the company.

Joe loves working with clients, both large and small, to develop strategic ways to utilize customer data. With Joe’s help, organizations such as the University of Kentucky, the Cincinnati Reds, Camargo Pharmaceuticals, and Curiosity Advertising, have uncovered new, more efficient ways to turn under-used-data into valuable and strategic assets.

Joe’s expertise in the utilization of new technologies stems from his education in New Media from the University of Kentucky, along with experience as a Microsoft partner, and Certified Ticketmaster partner. Additionally, Joe sat on the advisory board of a Major League Baseball (MLB) steering committee, working with teams from across the league to use customer data to develop new revenue streams.

When he’s not analyzing data at the office, you might find Joe brushing up on his golf game, working on a home-improvement project, or tinkering with his vintage Mustang. He spends free time at the lake, where he enjoys fishing and boating with his family.

Shannon Wendt - Director of Marketing

Shannon is a graduate of the University of Kentucky, where she studied Integrated Strategic Communications. She enjoys using the knowledge she acquired at UK, along with her unique planning and organizational skills to build useful marketing campaigns for Inner Join Technologies. As a newcomer to the tech industry, Shannon welcomes the challenges she faces in this role, as she learns about new technology, and how it can be applied in various ways to help business grow.

Outside of the office, Shannon enjoys the work/life balance that Inner Join provides, which allows her to spend ample time with family and friends. She finds cooking and dining to be therapeutic, and loves discovering new local restaurants, as well as trying out new recipes at home. Few people know that as a young teen, Shannon competed regionally in figure skating, bringing home more than two dozen 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place medals.

Paul Sparks - Application Developer

Paul graduated Magna Cum Laude from Northern Kentucky University, with a BS in Computer Science, along with Minors in Computer Information Technology, Information Security, and Mathematics. At IJT, he puts these skills to work, playing a key role in the unique design and creation of software systems that we custom-build for each of our clients. Paul’s passion for work and constant thirst for knowledge makes him an integral part of the Inner Join Tech team. He enjoys gaining experience from the wide range of projects he works on.

Along with being a valuable member of the IJT team, he’s also a skilled wood- and metal-worker, which he enjoys in his spare time, along with other activities, such as gaming, terrariums, virtual reality, and hiking.

David Horton - Data Scientist

David has a Masters degree in Business Analytics from the University of Cincinnati. He enjoys the flexibility of his work schedule, as it allows him to split time between career, continued education, and caring for his 3 hairless cats. Meow!

At Inner Join, David works with machine learning to create predictive models. He uses complex math and logic to write algorithms that can be used to enhance software, such as CRM systems, Power BI and Tableau.

When he’s not working or studying, you can find him rocking out to Guitar Hero, reading, or eating at Boi Na Braza, his favorite Cincinnati restaurant.

Laura Weber - Project Manager

Laura is a University of Kentucky grad, with 15+ years of experience in project management. She uses her planning expertise to help manage project workflow and details to ensure we meet client expectations in a timely manner. Inner Join teammates and clients, alike, enjoy her personable nature and professionalism.

Not only is Laura an expert at creating seamless, efficient processes for IJT; she also uses these skills as an active community volunteer – from the Marketing Committee to PTO events at her kids’ school, she keeps it all in check. On the weekends, she can be found on the sidelines at the soccer field or basketball court watching her kids’ games. She loves spending time with family and friends, and enjoys cooking and finding new Italian recipes.
